We trust this email finds you healthy and strong. We have not put out a COVID update or guidelines for some time now, but in light of the recent rise in Oklahoma cases, we are going back to what we had set in order in May. We can all remember this Spring when we were asked to take precautions in light of COVID. The reports show there are now more active cases than ever.

This past week the Owasso City council called for more safeguards, and recently our governor stated, “We cannot become complacent. Oklahomans did such a great job early on in the spring to flatten the curve. But if you’ve taken your foot off the gas, I’m asking you to tighten things up, keep doing your part. We need it more than ever right now," said Governor Kevin Stitt. Governor Stitt went on to say he will not put a mask mandate into effect but instead urges all Oklahomans to take personal responsibility by washing your hands, watching your distance, and wearing your mask.

For the safety and courtesy of those around us, we are re-implementing the protocols that we put into place last Spring:

Help us with Safe Distancing by doing these things:

  • We will practice safe distancing (please refrain from handshakes, high-fives, or hugs)

  • We ask that you refrain from hanging out and chatting in the lobby and to find your seat as you enter the building.

  • Safe distance tags (safe to touch, minimal contact, maintain distance) will be provided for contact outside of the building.

  • We will provide masks for those who desire to wear one.

  • We will not be requiring a temperature check, but will have a thermometer available for you to use in the lobby.

  • Rows will be separated 6 ft apart, allowing for safe distancing.

  • Families may sit together but leave three-four chairs between the next person(s).

  • The worship team will be separated on the platform.

  • No coffee offered or items sold at the bookstore.

  • We will prop the doors open for minimal contact of surfaces.

  • We will continue to clean between services with hospital-grade sanitizer.

  • We will have Hand-Sanitizer (alcohol-based) available at each entrance.

Children’s Ministry

  • Children’s ministry will be provided for all ages.

  • If you choose to stay home, connect to the DLC app and turn on your notifications to receive any updates or lessons for your kids.

We will continue to offer online live streaming for those who prefer not to come out for a public worship experience. If you are sick and/or running a temperature please join us from your home.

We understand that it's difficult to not be able to gather in person with the body during this time, but we want to make sure we stay connected. Please continue to reach out and connect via other avenues even if you can't be here in person!

In His Kingdom,
